Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a plugin?

No. Amp FreQQ  is a standalone application. It runs on its own.

Do I need any special hardware to use Amp FreQQ?

Besides a computer, no. You can control Amp FreQQ with your keyboard and use your computer’s built-in sound card. However, we recommend the use of an appropriate MIDI controller.

Can I use Amp FreQQ alongside Traktor, Serato, Virtual DJ, or any other DJ software?

Yes. The best way to do that is to route the audio from your DJ app into Amp FreQQ’s input channels. We have extensively tested Traktor routed into Amp FreQQ using two different methods:

Method A (free): Installing a virtual audio interface and setting it as output device on Traktor and as input device on Amp FreQQ. Using this method produces high latency, so it is not recommendable for beatmatching, scratching, or any other routine where rhythm and accuracy are paramount.

Method B: Some audio interfaces can route internally between programs with virtually no latency. We have tested thoroughly the EVO8 audio interface by Audient, using the device’s loop-back functionality to connect the audio output from Traktor into Amp FreQQ’s input channels.

Some Serato controllers with built-in audio interface can be selected as input device on Amp FreQQ.

Can I insert the audio from my DAW into Amp FreQQ?

Yes, using any of the techniques explained above.
